What is access equipment?
Access equipment are items required to gain authorised access to your booked location. These typically include:
- A key
- A key fob
- A physical permit
How do I obtain the access equipment?
If your space requires access equipment, this will be detailed in your post booking instructions. These will be emailed to you once your booking has been confirmed and are also accessible from within your account. The Post-booking instructions may specifically mention how to collect the equipment, although in most cases you just need to contact the Space Owner to arrange the collection.
What if I lose my access equipment?
In the middle of the tenancy
The cost of replacing the equipment will be deducted from your deposit and provided to the Space Owner in settlement of the loss/damage claimed. We will inform you of the total cost that will be deducted with the evidence of the cost to repair/replace.
You will be required to top-up the deposit back to the full value (one months rent) in order for the rental to proceed.
At the end of the tenancy
If the loss occurs at the end of the tenancy, we will deduct the cost of repair/replacement from your deposit and return any leftover monies.
When will I receive my deposit back once returning access equipment?
Once we have received confirmation from you and the Space Owner that all access equipment has been returned and the space has been vacated, we will release your deposit back to you.
This can take up to 5 - 10 days to appear in your bank.
How do I return access equipment?
Access equipment must be returned in full working condition to the Space Owner on or before the final day of rental.
It is the Drivers responsibility to contact the Space Owner and arrange the safe return of any equipment. Failing to do so may result in the charge of an access equipment replacement fee from your deposit.
