Barrier Issues
Barrier Issues
If you’re having trouble entering or leaving a car park because of a barrier, the first thing to check is your Post-Booking Instructions.
Once you make a booking, your Post-Booking Instructions are sent to the email address associated with your booking. They contain the information you need for your parking, including how to enter and exit the car park and any special access instructions, such as a PIN or access code.
The barrier is not opening automatically
Some car parks use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to identify your vehicle and automatically open the barrier.
There are several reasons why the system may not recognise your vehicle, including:
• Your vehicle is too close to the vehicle in front, preventing the camera from reading your registration.
• Your registration plate is dirty or unclear.
• You have not come to a complete stop, giving the camera insufficient time to read your registration.
• Your vehicle registration does not match the registration on your booking.
If the barrier does not open, make sure you have stopped in the designated area and allow the camera enough time to read your registration.
The barrier needs to be opened using the app
Some locations require you to use the app to open the barrier. If you are unable to do so, check the following:
• Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.
• Make sure you are logged in using the same email address associated with your booking. This is particularly important, as using a different account can prevent the access function from working.
• Make sure you have an active internet connection.
• Check that Bluetooth is enabled if the location requires Bluetooth access.
• Make sure your phone has the necessary permissions enabled for the app, such as Bluetooth or location access, if required.
• Close and reopen the app, then try again.
• Make sure you are at the correct car park and following the access instructions provided in your Post-Booking Instructions.
The barrier requires an access code
If you need to enter a code to open the barrier, check your Post-Booking Instructions and make sure you enter the code exactly as provided.
Some systems require you to press a specific key after entering the code, such as Enter, #, or another designated button. Follow the instructions provided for your location.
I booked a private parking space
If you have booked a private space and the access code is not working, first check your Post-Booking Instructions for the correct code and access instructions.
The Space Owner's contact details are usually included in the Post-Booking Instructions. If you are still unable to access the space, you can contact the Space Owner directly, as they are best placed to assist with access issues at their property.
I booked a commercial car park
If you have booked a commercial car park and the barrier is not opening or the access code is not working, first check your Post-Booking Instructions. A contact number may be included, which you can use to get assistance with any barrier or access issues.
You can also check whether there is a car park attendant or member of the car park management team available to assist you. They may be able to help with the barrier or provide further instructions for accessing the car park.
I still cannot access the car park
If you have checked your Post-Booking Instructions and followed the relevant access instructions but are still unable to enter the car park, please contact Customer Support and let us know what happened.
Where possible, include your booking details and any relevant information, such as the location and the issue you experienced, along with the steps you have taken so far. We can then review the situation and take the appropriate action.
