How can I pay for parking if the payment machine is not working?

Post-paying for your parking session

If the payment machine at a car park is not working, you may be able to post-pay for your parking session at eligible YourParkingSpace locations. Post-pay is available up until midnight the following day.

Via the YourParkingSpace app

  1. Log in to the app.
  2. Search using the Location ID for the car park.
  3. Choose the On-Exit option.
  4. Enter your parking dates and times.
  5. If payment is available, proceed to complete your payment.

Via the YourParkingSpace website

  1. Visit yourparkingspace.co.uk.
  2. Enter the location of the car park.
  3. Select Hourly/Daily parking.
  4. Enter your parking dates and times.
  5. Select Book now.
  6. Complete your payment.

If post-pay is not available

If the post-pay option does not appear, the enforcement provider at that car park does not permit post-pay. In this case, you will not be able to pay retrospectively through YourParkingSpace.
