How can I pay for parking if the payment machine is not working?
Post-paying for your parking session
If the payment machine at a car park is not working, you may be able to post-pay for your parking session at eligible YourParkingSpace locations. Post-pay is available up until midnight the following day.
Via the YourParkingSpace app
- Log in to the app.
- Search using the Location ID for the car park.
- Choose the On-Exit option.
- Enter your parking dates and times.
- If payment is available, proceed to complete your payment.
Via the YourParkingSpace website
- Visit yourparkingspace.co.uk.
- Enter the location of the car park.
- Select Hourly/Daily parking.
- Enter your parking dates and times.
- Select Book now.
- Complete your payment.
If post-pay is not available
If the post-pay option does not appear, the enforcement provider at that car park does not permit post-pay. In this case, you will not be able to pay retrospectively through YourParkingSpace.
