Logging in with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
We’ve introduced an extra layer of security to keep your account safe.
From now on, when you log in to your YourParkingSpace accounts, you’ll need to enter a verification code in addition to your password.
You can choose to receive this code by:
- Email – sent to your registered email address (always available)
- SMS text message – sent to your verified mobile number (only if you’ve added and confirmed one in your account settings and aren't logging in to the YPS app)
Note: The verification email may come from either a YourParkingSpace address or a Horizon address, depending on which service you registered with first.
How to log in
- Open the YourParkingSpace website, app, or Horizon login page.
- Enter your email address and password as usual, then tap or click Continue.
- You’ll see a message asking how you’d like to receive your verification code:
- Email – sent instantly to your registered email address.
- SMS – available only if you have a verified mobile number (currently not available to app users).
- Select your preferred method and tap or click Send code.
- Check your email inbox or SMS messages for the 6-digit code.
- Tip: If you don’t see the email, check your spam/junk folder.
- Remember: the sender may be YourParkingSpace or Horizon.
- Enter the code into the verification screen and tap/click Verify.
You’ll now be logged into your account.
Important notes
- Verification codes expire after 15 minutes. If yours expires, you’ll need to start again from step 1.
- You can retry if you mistype the code, but after 15 minutes you’ll need a new one.
- Social sign-in process (Facebook, Google, Apple) remains unchanged.
- All new accounts will be auto-enrolled to MFA after completing the sign up journey.
- If you don’t have access to your registered email address, contact YourParkingSpace Customer Support to update it.
You can add or verify your mobile number in Account Settings → Profile to enable SMS login codes in the future.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | What to Do |
| I’m not receiving the email code | Email delayed, filtered, or from a sender you don’t recognise | Check spam/junk, search your inbox for “YourParkingSpace code” or “Horizon code”, and wait a few minutes. |
| I’m unable to request an SMS code | No verified mobile number linked to your account/not using the YPS website | Log in using the email code, then go to Account Settings → Profile to add and verify your mobile number for future logins. Use the website to log in this way. |
| Code expired | Waited more than 15 mins | Start the login process again to request a fresh code. |
| Wrong code entered | Typo or wrong message | Re-enter carefully or request a new code. |
| No access to registered email | Old or incorrect email on file | Contact Customer Support to update your account details. |
